Gas Prices Extremely Close To Record High

It's been five years since Iowans paid as much for gas as now.  Triple-A Iowa says the average price is four-dollars-two-point-two cents a gallon, which is just four-tenths of a cent shy of the all-time record high for the state.  The record was set in July 2008.  Refinery closures and the upcoming Memorial Day holiday are blamed for the spike, which has sent prices up 32 cents per ...read more
