The guys at Google continue to dream big. While the Internet search giant was busy battling Oracle in court this week many people may have missed a somewhat cryptic press release announcing that Google execs Eric Schmidt and Larry Page have teamed up with director James Cameron to back an ambitious space exploration mission. Several other investors have joined forces with the trio to back a company called Planetary Resources in its mission to explore the possibility of mining natural resources from asteroids. If the venture pans out it's theorized that it could add trillions of dollars to the global GDP. The fledgling Planetary Resources was co-founded by a former NASA Mars mission manager.
