U.S. Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee says it's disappointing and highly frustrating to see what happens in Washington. In delivering the Republican weekly address, Corker says politicians are bankrupting the U.S. by passing legislation without paying for it and abandoning the free market principles that give people the opportunity to succeed. He says pro-growth tax reform is needed. It means simplifying the tax code and doing away with most, if not all, of the more than one-trillion dollars in loopholes and tax expenditures created by Congress. Corker says it would allow the tax base to be broadened and lower rates for everyone. He emphasizes that growing the private sector, not government, will ensure the U.S. remains the strongest country in the world.
