FDA Panel Set To Review New Arthritis Pill

The Food and Drug Administration's advisory panel is set to review a pill that promises less expensive, more convenient treatment for people with rheumatoid arthritis, and renewed confidence and greater revenues for Pfizer, the company that makes the medicine.  Most drug industry analysts reportedly expect the FDA's expert committee to recommnend approval for the drug.  It has the potential to be the biggest thing to come from Pfizer's research labs since the impotence drug Viagra more than a decade ago.  J.P. Morgan analyst Chris Schott expects the committee will recommend approval next week, and the FDA will approve the drug in August.
