Barbara L. Kinsella, 69, of rural Wyoming, died at 9:06 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
Barb was born on July 21, 1942, in Champaign, IL, the daughter of Chester “Chet” and Mildred Johnson Klockenbrink. She married John R. Kinsella on May 29, 1965, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Camp Grove. John survives, along with four children, Jack Kinsella of Camp Grove, Anita (Brian) Poeppel, Joe (Kim Brewer, fiancé) Kinsella, and Jim (Joni) Kinsella, all of Wyoming; three granddaughters, Lucy, Susannah, and Laura; two grandsons, Cole and Cash; and one sister, Marcia Fisher of Philo, IL. She was preceded in death by both parents.
Barb and John farmed in Valley Township for many years. Barb also managed the Pork Producer’s Tent at the Heart of Illinois Fair. She worked for the Jubilee Café in Kickapoo for many years where she baked pies. Barb was an avid bowler, bowling with the Monday Night Ladies at Spoon River Bowl for years. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens and being outside.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Camp Grove, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Cremation has been accorded, and Mass will be said at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Wyoming. Rev. Vien Van Do will officiate. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the Mass at the Church. Recitation of the Rosary will take place on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church. A private burial of ashes will take place at St. Dominic Cemetery at a later time.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyoming Ambulance Service or to the Wyoming Fire Department.
