Tigers Top White Sox

Jhonny Peralta blasted a two-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth as the Tigers defeated the White Sox, 5-4. Alex Avila went 3-for-3 with a solo homer and two runs scored. Jose Valverde got the win for Detroit, which has won two-of-three. Matt Thornton suffered the loss out of the bullpen. Gordon Beckham was 3-for-4 with three RBI, including a two-run home run. Chicago has lost three straight.
